Going in for surgery tomorrow. For those that don't know, I have been dealing with Stage IV Colon Cancer since Sept 2014. While my colon is now cleared after surgery in 2014, the cancer had moved to my liver as well (thus the stage IV diagnosis)...
However I have been really lucky, after a minor procedure in 2015 called a TACE (chemo beads fed from the artery in my leg directly to my liver to kill the cancer cells at the source) I got 8 months more of great life before my liver failed in Jan. 2016. Luckily for me after 2 bouts of chemo treatment, a month later I was back to normal... and have been good for most of the year, after having 7 more treatments.
But now my liver is acting up again slowly, and while I could go a few more months without fear, my doctors have thought it best to do a 2nd TACE this week (Thursday morning) and hopefully give me another year at least... So that is where I am.
Though in other good news, decided to start drawing again after a year of not touching Photoshop or my wacom... unfortunately due to my first chemo treatment, I have only about 80% feeling in my hands and feet. I am in constant pain, and it requires holding things a lot tighter in order to keep them in my grip. Not to mention walking is like walking on nails... thank god for Tylenol.
So to start Spring off with a bang, I have decided to start uploading again. Probably in about 8 weeks, it will take some time to recover from this week... but you should notice more work for the rest of the year. Hopefully on a weekly basis. Thank you to all my supporters out there... your help is worth more to me than you'll ever know. Peace.
